WHOOPS!
I forgot to blog yesterday. I didn't tell you guys but I got a job at my church! Working in the child care for small groups and such. SO, yesterday I was at the meeting for that.

So onto today!
I am trying to work on a budget for our family, having a harder time than I thought. It is hard to work the numbers and stick to them. :) Especially when you have small children, who need cute little things. So, I need some serious tips on how to stay on your budget. How do you stick to it? Avoid impluse buying for the kids? You know that kind of stuff.

Nothing too exciting around here today, I didn't even get any mail :( I am expecting a few diapers in the mail, and I am always bummed when the kids and I take our daily walk to the mailbox only to NOT find my diapers in the package box!!!

Well, my thought for the day, don't let your children play with scissors while you are changing a diaper ...

Flowertown Festival

What a blast it was, it is always a good time. I always get some good ideas there for crafts and things of that sort!

A friend of mine recently started a sling making business :) and she helped me convince Sal that a Ring Sling is essential to my baby wearing wardrobe :)
I also found some super cute shopping cart covers, I had them with the other two, but those are long gone and I am going to try my hand at making one tonight!

Here is the kicker though, this lady dressed like a FOOL was walking up to people that had their children in strollers or carrying them, whatever it was and saying, "you are too big for that you should be walking".
PHHHH She needs to shut her mouth. When she said that about Isabella (who was riding in our SUPER COOL Choo Choo wagon) I said "Excuse me" and she looked at me and continued to keep walking. She MUST have felt the WRATH of JESSICA! Because I was SURELY going to let her have a piece of my mind. CRAZY WOMAN, SHE is the reason my child wasn't walking, crazy people that want to steal children in a CROWDED busy place like that!

BAH! CLAP! SQUIRT!!

It's the weekend
I LOVE the weekends, I am a "single" parent Monday - Friday from wake up until Dinner time. So I welcome the help on the weekends.

Today has been a BEAUTIFUL day. I got the kids up, had breakfast and then we walked the complex, then they ran around with the dog in the field out behind our place! It was so energizing to see them playing and hear them laughing and having such a good time. There is nothing more energizing to me than children laughing and playing, I LOVE the sound!! It is such a wonderful thing. It helps put child like faith into perspective a little more. Children love without abandon and have faith that they can indeed move mountains, when do we loose that? I think as parents we should try to foster and encourage them with that. Because if we as adults had child like faith, MAN the world would surely be a better place.

This weekend we have big stuff going on here. My mom is moving in with us. :) So I am hurriedly organizing and de-cluttering to make room for her stuff.
In other news, I have finally talked Salvador into getting me a MacBook :) INCREDIBLY excited about that. So that is in the works as well. I think after my 30day challenge I will have Sal help me with a blog of my own.
I think next week I am going to add to my challenge by using a photo each day :) I have used a few these past couple posts, but I will try!

I leave you all with this : Try this weekend to look at the world through the eye's of a child, and love each other with no expectations! See you all tomorrow! WITH A PHOTO!!!

Thankful Thursday

I know it isn't Christmas (as my photo depicts) BUT, those three babies are the majority of my post :) so SHUT IT!

After my rant yesterday I figured I could follow up with all the things in life that I am thankful for, well, not all, because let's be honest that would take awhile and some of them are given if you know me like (toilet paper, air conditioning) !

Firstly I am thankful that my God is a GREAT BIG GOD! That loves me, that adores me, that cherishes me!
I am thankful that I have such a great relationship with my Mom. That I can tell her exactly what is on my mind and if we get into an argument we can move past it with ease and just respect our differences.
For my HUSBAND Salvador. Who is such a wonderful provider for me and the kids. He tries to help me whenever and however he can. I guarantee you, if he could feed the baby he would take night feedings so I could get a good nights sleep. I know it pains him that he can't. He is my best friend.
For my Isabella, she is so full of life, and my goodness she is beautiful and such a sweet girl! She is a spirited child and I try to remember this on a daily basis. God made her so unique.
For my Isaia, oh Isaia, a handsome blue eyed blonde haired mama's boy. He is a SWEET HEART!!! He always makes me smile, often when he is in trouble. He is such a lover and hugger, loves to cuddle especially when he sees mommy needs it!
For my baby boy, Ian Matthew, he is the kind of baby you hope for with your first pregnancy. Sweet, and laid back. He is spoiled and loves to be held. Another cuddly baby that loves his mommy.

I am thankful for the opportunity to stay at home with them to see them grow and change. To watch them learn from their environment and to be able to take part in that is so fulfilling to me.

Happy Thursday!

Do you think I am a Circus Freak?
WHEW! What a day it has been today! Got up at 8:11am, got dressed, got Isaia dressed, woke up Ian Matthew got him dressed, fed the boys, took the dog out, then dressed Isabella in her sleep (she can't be bothered with trivial things like getting dressed). Then we were OFF, to our playdate!
We had such a great time, I always do with the natural moms group! Living a natural lifestyle (breastfeeding, cloth diapering, organic, and whole food eathing, sewing, attachment pareting) is not something you can do without support! These ladies are AMAZING! So helpful with questions and so encouraging! Hanging out with them always builds me back up and fills me :)

On our way home I had to stop at publix to get the rest of the supplies needed for my babymooning mamas chicken noodle soup. That was nothing short of a disaster! Going anywhere alone with 3 kids at the ages we have is DIFFICULT! So I park in the "new & expecting moms only " parking spot because GOSH DARNIT I am a new mom Ian Matthew is 7 months old ... (when do you feel it is no longer appropriate to park there?) Go in and of course as we are walking in people are STARING AT ME! I said to a friend on the phone, "you know what I am SICK of people staring at me like I am a DARN CIRCUS FREAK! I am a young mom of 3. And that does NOT give you permission to ask any questions about my "sex life" (was that on purpose) and (are you going to have more)." GRR Nothing is more irritating. Thankfully the kdis behaved ;)

Then home for lunch and a nap :) Speaking of lunch, anyone have any GREAT ideas for healthy whole food lunches ???

Today is Tuesday

Today is TUESDAY!
Not the first day of the week, not quite hump-day ... but the day in-between.

What a Tuesday it has been. First thing this morning my cell phone is BLOWING UP! (with calls not actually blowing up) My friend called, my mom called like 3 times, and Sal called like 3 times, FINALLY I got up to answer it and Sal is all "OMGOSH ARE YOU OK" ... what? Of course I'm ok, except for the fact that you just woke up a house full of sleeping babies and ME!

PUNK!!! What I failed to mention is it was 9:45am .... lol My mom said "why are you sleeping at 9:45am ... " my response was " I am a stay at home mom, that's one of the perks of the job ;) "

OK! So today was a busy day! I did the usual stuff around the house but I also cleaned out the master bedroom closet, a FEAT I must say! It was a mess, one of the areas that was HUGELY neglected in the move, I have been stepping on stuff in there since we moved in!

Tomorrow holds : Coffee and Chat with my Natural Mommy friends, Taking Dinner to a Babymooning Mama , and a Chiropractic appt in the evening :) as well as a wordless Wednesday post :)

Not Me ... nope NEVER

I got this really cute idea from my Sister over at Nurture Me Whole
who got the idea from MckMama over at MyCharmingKids.net ok now that all of that is out of the way, here goes!

So today, I surely did not answer the door to the repair man at 11:30 while chatting on my cell phone with two kids in pajamas and one in just a diaper. NOPE no way that was me!

I would NEVER sit at my laptop at 2:30pm with a quite house and still be in my pajamas and not showered.

I am NOT guilty of telling my children they won't get up until they have napped for their "nap" time frame even though I spent the previous 2 hours disciplining them for not napping. NO WAY!

A short list of the things I DID NOT do today!

With that being said, I want you all to know that I am SUPERMOM! I have 3 kids (3, 2, and 7months). My house is dare I say tidy and at least the pj's were clean as was the diaper. Thank goodness I didn't answer the door with a nursing baby. That could have proved to be embarrassing!

I go to bed each night striving to be a better mom than I was the day before. I think we all shoud, you should make each day your best day and everyday should be better than the last.

*Maybe I should have Sal set me up a blog of my own, ;) *

Todays Sticktoitness count DAY 2 - done :)

30 Day Challenge
Here is the challenge : Blog Everyday for 30 days! This is just a challenge from me to well me :)

I am not promising that anything will be worth reading but it is my challenge and I am going to stick to it. Sal and I have a problem with sticking to it ;) . So maybe this will help me, and if I conquer stick to it ness than maybe Sal will just follow suit seeing how stick to it I am ;)

What in the WORLD has been going on around here. Well, LOTS! We have been de-cluttering, getting settled, cleaning and well, just doing life.

Sal and I have three children and now a puppy. We have recently discovered how EASY it is to forget each other, and my goodness how we have forgotten each other in the past couple of years. I have either been pregnant or breastfeeding for approximately 4 years now. I am still breastfeeding Ian Matthew and plan to for a while longer but I am starting to feel like myself again.

In the midst of all these babies and what not Sal and I haven't made much time for each other or even taking each others needs and wants into consideration. It is hard work to be a married couple :) . Don't get me wrong here, we still very much love each other just trying to find the time to show it :)

So any ideas? We are going to try once a week to eat dinner after we put the kids to bed, and we are going to try "bed-sharing" as opposed to "co-sleeping". I will have to take a photo of our new situation!

Leave a comment, let me know your ideas for a cheap date that doesn't include getting a babysitter!!

What the Fluffy Puppy

Let me take you back to Thursday morning ... I wake up to a MSN message from Sal saying "check your email".
OK it's 8:15am, the three kids and I have just "rolled" out of bed. So I check my email, and call Sal. He nicely asks me, can you go get the puppy today?

TODAY? On the serious TODAY! The original plan was to get him on Friday, Sal had Friday off, we were all going to drive there get him and come back. It is a 6hr trip one way. Now my LOVELY husband was asking me to load all 3 kids up in the car, drive the 6hr drive get the pup and turn around and drive back ALL IN ONE DAY, ALONE!!

I am a MAJOR planner, I have already started thinking about Ian Matthew's 1st brithday party and it's not until AUGUST 28TH! So he totally was throwing me a curve ball, and I wasn't sure how to catch it. So I packed a lunch, some snacks, diapers, change of clothes for the boys, and loaded everyone up in the car.

The drive up there wasn't bad at all, the kids took their 3 hour nap, I stopped once for Isabella to go potty and to feed Ian Matthew. Made it there in 5hours :) Got the WORLD'S CUTEST PUPPY and that is when Chaos set in. I cried a few times on the way back. I was tired the kids were tired Ian Matthew prefers to eat most of his meals from 6pm - 1am. So he just wanted me to hold him and nurse, which is IMPOSSIBLE to do while driving. He cried a large portion of the drive home. :( and I don't let him cry at home, I spend most of the day holding him. I know its insane but ... that's what I am here for to cater to his every need.

!! We finally made it home after about 7 stops when I only stopped 2 times on the way up. Many tears and a few "accidents". We are LOVING the new addition to our family, he is the cutest little puppy, he weighs about 5lbs. :) The kids LOVE him, and Sal and I are equally in love as well, he is a SWEET little guy. We named him Boomer, he is a golden retriever.

So far so good!!! We will keep you posted!!

MOVING SUCKS
Jess here: So, it has been awhile since we posted anything, and not to make excuses but we were moving!

Not very far, really just down the road. Goodness gracious our little family of five sure had a great deal of stuff to pack up and move. So glad our friends helped us move or we would still be moving. Me being the PRINCESS I am refused to lift anything heavy, well that worked for awhile. Until I was ready to just be done, so Sal and I beasted all the furniture out of the moving truck at like midnight Thursday night. Anyways, we are all moved in now, and LOVE our new place!! LOVE IT!!! It is a 3 bedroom apartment (I LOVE APARTMENT LIVING). Granite counter-tops with a GREAT Island in the kitchen. The master bathroom and closet are GIGANTIC and the other two rooms are great sizes as well. The best part is it is BRAND NEW So no one else has ever lived here. I love that :).

Sal didn't tell you much about our lifestyle in the first post, other than we are trying to eat more RAW/Whole foods, and go Vegetarian :). I am probably half hippy if not more. So with our three children, one is still in diapers, the other two are SUCCESSFULLY POTTY TRAINED! GO ME!!! Sal can take NO credit for that, as I am a stay at home mom and that responsibility fell mostly on me with the occasional, 'SAL IS THIS ENOUGH POOP' comments!! ;) So here goes, we use cloth diapers, breastfeed, co-sleep,follow a lot if not all of the attachment parenting principles, and as of yet the baby has not had a single vaccine. Our children are 3years (Isabella) 2years (Isaia) and 6months (Ian Matthew) and I have let Sal talk me into getting a puppy 8week (Boomer) who will be joining our family on Friday. We are a God centered home! We are active in our church in the marriage ministry and LOVE IT! We also serve with the Ushers and Greeters.

So with the MOVE came a new WASHER AND DRYER! OMGOSH I am the happiest housewife / mommy around NO JOKE! We got a Maytag 3000 series front-loaders! With three kids and Sal, you can imagine there is a lot of laundry, I am the only one in the house that wears the same outfit all day, everyone else I swear has to model their whole wardrobe daily. But in reality, we used to do 3 loads of laundry a day is that insane or what?
Now with our new and improved laundering system we are only doing 1 load a day (ish) we cloth diaper and I like to play with the new washer and dryer so, call it 2 loads right now :). These things are AMAZING, gigantic. I can fit all of our daily laundry in ONE LOAD! That is heavenly for me. I don't really have time to stand around switching laundry all day everyday.

We have a SUPER CRAZY, but organized life! I think I speak for both of us when I say that we wouldn't change a single thing about it. I am going to make a HUGE effort to get on here and blog daily, it may not always be interesting but at least it will be consistent!

Maybe I will post this weeks meal plan ... bare with me because its not completely vegetarian, or anything, we just started on the 1st :)
