Natural Moms ROCK! (organically of course)

What a fun week we have had around here! :) Getting completely settled in with my mom moving in, going to the Chiro three times a week, and me getting a job!

I know I missed two days, but I am back trying to get my own blog set up still. I will work on that this weekend! So I have been spending more time with my Natural Mom friends.

Natural Moms as opposed to Unnatural Moms ... eh? Kind of ... Natural Moms meaning moms that share similar views as far as parenting and family go! As well as their own lifestyle!

I am SOLID in my views and why I have the view that I have about many things that most would deem controversial. Breastfeeding, attachment parenting, baby wearing, co-sleeping, delayed eating, circumcision, schooling, and of course VACCINES :). You couldn't change my opinion if you needed to. I don't mean that boastfully, I just believe what I believe. So the natural moms have the same views, most of the same views, obviously not everyone believes the SAME EXACT thing but for the most part. It is sooooo great to be around people that have the same views as we do!

Last night we went over to a friends house (our Chiropractor - who's wife is the head of the natural moms group) it was such a good time. Just chatting about parenting and life and not feeling awkward or having to guard what I say for fear of being attacked for my co-sleeping ways, being able to breastfeed my baby and not search for a blanket because I KNEW she wouldn't be offended. It was wonderful. I look forward to getting to know them more as well as more of the other mama's in the group!

My picture today is a VERY sweet moment shared between Isabella and Ian Matthew last night, Isabella has wanted to feed him since he was BORN! Well, with breastfeeding she can't really do that, so last night he was enjoying some Avocado and she fed it to him. SOOOO SWEET!

my thought for the day: how solid are you in your views! if someone challenged them do you think you could be swayed to another side?

SUPERMOM OUT!

Apparently living with you has swayed MOST of my views, but in the end, the new outlook has me extremely excited, and making more decisions on my own as to what I want and believe instead of just going along with the norm. You are, indeed, supermom.

As for the chatting last night, I didn't partake in most of it as the husband and I were upstairs laying down a groove. I picked up a bass for the first time in 9 years and today my shoulder is paying the price :) I can't wait to get to know everyone better.

I too would like to chalenge the readers out there. Not only could you be swayed by someone else, but have you done the research on your views to know both sides of the equation, or are you just like I was and just going with whatever the culture was doing because it was just easier that way?

It does take work to do seek out the education on both sides, and I am begining to think that we are a lazy society that wants our info spoon fed to us (much like Bella with Ian Matthew). Do the work, look at both sides, then make up your mind. Don't put the cart before the horse. :)

hmmmmm? Got me thinking! So far, I like what makes my babies tummy happy and that's food. At four months. But it works for us. As for being swayed.. as for the things that I have made a firm decision about no. The rest of it, well, if I see or hear a good idea.. I might be willing to check it out and see if it works for us!
